Overview

The Verifone UX400 Global Contactless Module — known on the parts ticket as M14331A001 — is the NFC card reader assembly that lives behind the bezel on Gilbarco Encore 500, 500S, and 700S dispensers. When a customer taps a credit card, phone, or smartwatch at the pump, the UX400 is the device that actually reads it. A dead UX400 doesn’t take a dispenser offline, but it does shut down every contactless transaction on that fueling position — and at most modern sites,
that’s a meaningful share of the customer base.
