The FCB (Flexpay Card Box) handles all card reads — magstripe, chip, and contactless — at FlexPay II dispensers. Offered as our Freedom Engineered New build (FE-M10728K002) or a tested Freedom Repaired core (FR-M10728K002), Outright or on Exchange. We recommend the Freedom Engineered New version for the best balance of reliability, availability, and value.
When a customer swipes, inserts, or taps a card at a Gilbarco Advantage or Encore 300/500/500S dispenser running FlexPay II, the M10728K002 — the FCB, or FlexPay Card Box — is the secure card reader that actually reads it. A failed FCB pulls the entire payment terminal at that fueling position offline: no swipes, no chips, no contactless. It’s one of the most common service calls on FlexPay II hardware, and one of the most disruptive when it happens.
Every variant ships with the required mounting gasket and carries a 365-day Freedom Electronics warranty.
For a part this critical to a site’s revenue, many techs prefer to install new hardware rather than a restored core. The Freedom Engineered FE-M10728K002 ships from US stock at a price well below the OEM channel, with the same 365-day warranty as the repaired versions. For service trucks that stock FlexPay II spares, it’s the better choice.

Q: What is the FCB on a FlexPay II dispenser?
A: FCB stands for FlexPay Card Box — Gilbarco’s name for the secure card reader assembly inside the dispenser bezel on FlexPay II hardware. It handles all card reads (magstripe, EMV chip, and NFC contactless) and forwards them to the FlexPay II payment hardware.
Q: What’s the difference between FE-M10728K002 and FR-M10728K002?
A: FE-M10728K002 is a brand-new FCB built by Freedom Electronics to the original Gilbarco spec. FR-M10728K002 is a genuine Gilbarco FCB that failed in service and has been tested and restored by Freedom Electronics. Both come with a 365-day warranty.
Q: Outright vs. Exchange — what’s the difference?
A: Outright means you keep the FCB you receive; nothing else to return. Exchange means you ship your failed FCB back to us within 30 days, and you pay a lower up-front price. Exchange is only available with the Freedom Repaired version on this page.
Q: Will this work on a FlexPay IV dispenser?
A: No. The M10728K002 FCB is specific to FlexPay II hardware on Gilbarco Advantage and Encore 300/500/500S. FlexPay IV uses a different card-reader architecture.
Q: How long is the warranty?
A: 365 days from Freedom Electronics on every variant on this page.
