News From Our CEO

October is always one of the most exciting times of the year in our industry, as the NACS/PEI Show brings together the entire community of convenience store operators, fuel retailers, and service companies under one roof. It is the largest annual gathering of its kind in North America, and as proud members of both NACS and PEI, we look forward to this event as both an exhibitor and an industry partner. This year is no exception — and in fact, it may be our most exciting show yet.

Freedom Electronics will be exhibiting at Booth S4313, and I invite you personally to stop by, meet our team, and see the innovations we are bringing to market. We are showcasing 14 new products this year, each designed with one clear focus: helping our customers improve uptime and simplify their operations. In a business where technician hours are precious, first-time fix rates are critical, and inventory costs can easily spiral, every product we launch is built to address those exact challenges.

One of the highlights this year is the introduction of our brand-new FE-14 Printer. True to Freedom’s design philosophy, this product is a universal solution that eliminates complexity and reduces cost. The FE-14 is a true drop-in replacement for both the DW-14 and Zebra printers — two models used across Ovation and Anthem dispensers today. With one product replacing two, service companies can reduce the number of SKUs they need to carry, streamline inventory, and increase their technicians’ ability to complete jobs on the first visit. To make the transition even easier, we are offering core credits for both the Zebra and the DW-14 printers. This new addition to the Freedom Engineered portfolio continues our tradition of developing innovative products that do more with less.

Another major focus of our booth this year is DEF dispensers, which are becoming increasingly important as the fueling market evolves. We are proud to be launching three new solutions that support this category:

  • The DEF Door Flap (PN FE-M13855A001)
  • The DEF Heater Assembly (PN FR-Q13254-05)
  • The DEF Temperature Control Board (PN FE-M14100A001)

These additions are a direct response to customer feedback and a reflection of our commitment to helping technicians service every aspect of today’s fueling stations. By expanding into DEF support, Freedom continues to deliver on its mission to be the one-stop supplier for all retail petroleum needs.

Of course, we are also expanding our Freedom Remanufactured product line, ensuring that operators have access to high-quality, cost-effective solutions backed by Freedom’s reputation for reliability. Each remanufactured product is built with the same commitment to uptime and efficiency that drives our engineered solutions. For many of our customers, these products represent an opportunity to keep legacy equipment running longer, with less downtime and at a lower cost.

Beyond the products themselves, what matters most is the impact they have on your operations. We all know that the industry is facing a shortage of qualified technicians. Every hour in the field counts, and every truck roll must be as productive as possible. When the right part is on the truck and ready to go, first-time fix rates improve dramatically, customers experience less downtime, and service companies can do more with the same resources. That is exactly why our product portfolio is designed for simplification, universality, and reliability.

We believe that being a strong partner in this industry means more than just selling parts — it means understanding the realities of your business and developing solutions that make a difference where it matters most. That has always been our approach, and it continues to guide us as we expand our catalog, our partnerships, and our capabilities.

I also want to pause to express my gratitude. First, to our customers: your trust, your feedback, and your partnership are what drive our innovation. Every new product we launch starts with listening to your needs and finding ways to solve your challenges. Second, to PEI: the work this organization does to bring us together, foster dialogue, and advance the industry is invaluable. We are proud to be members and proud to participate in this year’s show.

If you will be at the NACS/PEI Show, please plan to stop by Booth S4313. Our team will be on hand to answer questions, demonstrate installation of our new valve kit for Wayne and Gilbarco proportional valves, and showcase our entire lineup of new products. It’s a great opportunity to see firsthand how Freedom can help reduce your inventory complexity, improve uptime, and make every service call more efficient.

And if you are not able to attend this year, you can always connect with us at FreedomElectronics.com. There you will find our complete catalog, product videos, downloadable resources, and everything you need to keep your operation running smoothly.

The NACS/PEI Show is a reminder of how dynamic and innovative this industry is, and I am proud that Freedom Electronics is playing a role in shaping its future. We look forward to seeing many of you in Chicago and to continuing our work together in the months and years ahead.

Thank you for your trust, your business, and your partnership,

Patrick Jeitler

This month, we are excited to spotlight Alex Watkins, a valued member of our Operations Team.  Since joining Freedom Electronics in June, Alex has played a key role in driving our organizational initiatives around inventory health and space optimization.

Known for being a lean leader and ability to leverage analytical solutions to solve complex problems, Alex has been committed to helping the team succeed in achieving their goals. One recent highlight includes establishing actionable Inventory health metrics and tying out our production scheduling to improve service levels to our customers.

Outside of work, Alex enjoys spending time with his 2 daughter Falyn (15) & Rylee (11). Alex has array of hobbies including kayaking, attending open mics, riding his e-bike, and recently picking up Pickle Ball. We are proud to celebrate Alex in this month’s spotlight and thank him for being an important part of our Freedom family!

Streamlining Our Warehouse: Lean in Action

“A well-defined problem is half solved.” That was the mindset guiding our Operations team during a recent weeklong Kaizen event focused on one critical question:

“Why can’t we receive and put away all deliveries in the same day?”

To tackle this, the team:

  • Mapped the full receiving process to spot inefficiencies
  • Used a fishbone diagram to categorize over 25 issues
  • Prioritized solutions using an effort-benefit analysis

Key Breakthrough

The team implemented primary put-away locations to support directed put-away — eliminating 5 minutes of research per transaction. With over 250 transactions on busy days, this change equates to gaining an extra full-time employee’s worth of time.

The Result

For the first time in recent memory, the team hit their same-day put-away goal — and now they’re aiming to sustain it for a full week.

This success is a powerful example of Freedom Electronics’ commitment to continuous improvement. We’re proud of our Operations team for driving real change — and excited for what’s next on their Lean journey.
