Greetings! This month went by in a hurry! With it, the spring trade show season is coming to an end. We were fortunate to participate in several events across the country, making new connections and rekindling existing ones. These shows allow us to meet with many customers within just a couple of days and provide new insights into what is driving their businesses. It is through these interactions that we obtain valuable information that feeds into our product development roadmap.
Additionally, we participate in several of the PEI conferences where we learn about new trends and changes. Our industry is always changing. The large convenience store chains continue to grow and so are the service companies supporting them. There are now a few companies with semi-national reach. The race to become the first company with a truly national reach is on. Who will be first? How will it affect the many smaller service companies?
The EMV bubble is clearly over and our industry is looking for ways to offset the decline in pump sales. Several of our customers have provided feedback that the new fuel dispensers appear to be better in quality, resulting in fewer dispatches. Construction appears to be going strong, offsetting some of the slowdown in service.
The hottest non-petroleum topic, EV, appears to have cooled off a bit. The market leader Tesla reported Q1 earnings far below expectations and other brand dealerships have inventory aging on their lots. Is this a sign of EVs being less desired by consumers or a sign of a slowdown of the economy?
One thing that hasn’t changed is the charger infrastructure continues to leave a lot to be desired. Here at Freedom HQ, we will continue to invest into developing EV charger remanufacturing services to provide an alternative option to some of the long OEM lead times.
Warm Regards,
Patrick Jeitler

Freedom to innovate, power to solve.
At PEI Executive Summit, WPMA, SE Petro, Gulf Coast, M-PACT, PEI Managers, PEI Women, we consistently heard from our customers that our products provide greater value without hurting their bottom line. In this competitive service landscape, one theme we’ve heard repeatedly is that competition has increased for service work.
In this environment, choosing high-quality Freedom Remanufactured (FR) and Freedom Engineered (FE) products, such as circuit boards, dispenser parts, tank gauging and monitoring, point of sale, and intercoms, creates value by offering products at price points that save you and your customers money.
Do you only use a few third-party parts? Many of the parts you use may have a high-quality FR or FE equivalent at a great price point. Call your Freedom Sales Rep or our customer service at 800-761-9369 to see if we offer a better replacement part alternative!
We are fully moved in and completely productive. The production space has been redesigned to improve the natural flow of work. Everyone was able to provide input on their respective production spaces which gave them a feeling of ownership and pride. Everyone came together to make this move happen and the effort of those involved allowed us to quickly be up and running with less than 24 hours of production downtime.
Thank you to everyone involved who made this move successful.
No doubt buying probes and float kits can cost you an arm and a leg, but you don’t have to sacrifice quality to get a better value. Freedom Engineered 4” float kits are new in the box, and they include a cable, seal kits and new gas and diesel float kits. They are designed to work with Mag and Mag Plus probes. And while a new Mag Plus probe can set you back a few thousand dollars, you can have your probe back to OEM specs for a fraction of what the OEM charges.

Always Verify Shear Valve Closure Before Maintenance
I had a dispenser pumping very slowly and determined the filter needed to be replaced. I tripped the shear valve and removed the filter. While attempting to install the new filter, I was surprised by a sudden flow and spraying of fuel. The basic task of replacing a filter turned into a spill cleanup and a dousing of gas because I did not verify the shear valve was closed. Don’t trust that flipping that little lever actually closes the shear valve, attempt to dispense fuel to verify that flow has been shut off. Shear valves do fail and can put you at risk while working on any of the hydraulics of a dispenser.
