Can’t find it? We can probably get it. Ask Us
The first quarter of 2026 is already behind us. Across the business, we’re seeing good momentum. Teams are more aligned, execution is improving, and we’re continuing to build a stronger operational foundation. Living one of our core values of continuous improvement, there is still work to do, but we’re moving in the right direction.
As we wrapped up the first quarter, I’ve been thinking about what really sets Freedom apart. It comes down to this: when our customers have a problem, they trust us to solve it quickly and economically.
For our customers, downtime isn’t theoretical. When equipment goes down, operations are impacted immediately: lost time, lost revenue, and real pressure on the people responsible for keeping things running.
We have aligned our operations to that reality and our team has a clear understanding of that responsibility. We’re not just shipping parts, we’re helping our customers stay operational. That mindset shows up in how we diagnose issues, how quickly we respond, and how we follow through.
Ryan’s story this month is a great example. A failing component was slowing down a customer’s operation, and within hours our team had identified the issue, provided a solution, and shipped the part. By the next day, they were back up and running.
That’s the standard we’re setting and the expectations we need to continue to meet.
In March, we attended the RFMA tradeshow which was our first time participating in the event and marks an exciting step as we continue to explore opportunities beyond petroleum.
The show was a great experience, giving us the chance to connect with industry professionals, build new relationships, and learn more about the evolving needs of the foodservice space. RFMA’s networking environment made it easy to engage with a wide range of operators and service providers.
We came away encouraged by the conversations and insights we gained, and we’re excited about the opportunities ahead as we continue to grow and expand into new markets.
In last months edition of The Circuit I wrote about the ongoing discussions at the EPA around release detection equipment and third-party or remanufactured components. I also had an opportunity to speak at the Petroleum Equipment Contractors Association (PECA) of New Jersey meeting on this topic. During the Q&A session it became apparent that real clarity and guidance is lacking on this topic.
Late March I had an opportunity to review the draft guidelines from the EPA. At a high level, they reinforce something we’ve believed for a long time, the regulations are performance-based, not manufacturer specific. The document is still under review and open for comments from industry leadership and state regulators. It is not ready for broader release yet, so we’re watching it closely and staying engaged as it develops.
At the end of the day, our success is built on execution, solving problems, delivering results, and showing up when our customers need us. We’re grateful for the trust our customers place in us, and we know it has to be earned every day.

In the petroleum industry, operations depend on thousands of moving parts, literally. Pumps, meters, valves, tank monitors, and POS systems all work together to keep fuel moving from terminals to trucks and ultimately to the stations people rely on every day.
When even one component fails, the entire chain can slow down.
Late one afternoon, an OEM distributor called looking for help. One of their customer’s tank monitors had begun malfunctioning, shutting down readings and slowing down truck loading. The original manufacturer no longer made or supported the product, and every day without a reliable monitor meant delays, frustrated drivers, and mounting pressure on the operations team.
What the customer needed wasn’t just a replacement part, they needed a solution quickly.
The team started by asking a few key questions: the equipment model, the symptoms they were seeing, and the timeline the customer was facing. With years of experience supporting petroleum equipment in the field, the team recognized the issue right away. They had seen it before.
Within minutes, they confirmed they had a remanufactured component in stock that would solve the problem. It wasn’t just about availability, it was about making sure the part would perform exactly as the customer expected.
Before the order was finalized, the team double-checked availability, and made sure the shipment would leave the warehouse that same day.
The part arrived the next morning.
By that afternoon, the monitor was back online and trucks were loading at full speed again.
A few days later, the customer called back, not with another problem, but simply to say thanks.
In the aftermarket parts business, success isn’t just about what’s on the shelf. It’s about understanding the systems our customers depend on, responding quickly when issues arise, and helping keep operations running smoothly.
Because in this industry, sometimes the difference between downtime and productivity comes down to one part, and the team that knows how to get it there.
