As we wrap up the first quarter of 2025, I want to take a moment to thank our customers for helping us kick off the year with strong momentum. Order volume has been high—putting healthy pressure on our operations team. That’s a great challenge to have, pushing us to examine our processes and find new efficiencies.

Tech Tip
Helpful Tools
A technician relies on many tools to complete their work but some can make the job easier and help reduce repair times. While basic tools like screwdrivers, ratchet sets, channel locks, wire strippers, and hammers are necessary, here are a few additional tools that can make a real difference:
Multimeter
A multimeter is an invaluable tool for diagnosing issues in electrical systems. Its ability to measure voltage, current, resistance, and continuity makes it versatile for a wide range of troubleshooting tasks. Whether you’re diagnosing a dead STP motor or dispenser, a faulty sensor, or identifying shorted wires, the multimeter provides immediate and clear data that helps pinpoint the root of the problem.
Ammeter (Amp Meter)
While a multimeter can measure current as one of its functions, an ammeter is generally preferred for its simplicity and more accurate current measurements. By measuring the current, you can determine whether the circuit is operating within its expected range. For example, if you’re troubleshooting an STP motor and the current reading is too high, it may indicate a faulty motor; if there’s no current, it may suggest no power or a dead motor.
Line Gauge
A pressure line gauge provides a direct reading of the pressure in a line, which is essential for diagnosing its operation. If the pressure is too high or too low, it could indicate issues such as a malfunctioning STP motor, a faulty check valve, or even a leak in the line. Without a pressure gauge, diagnosing the problem becomes much more difficult, leaving you to guess and making it harder to identify and resolve the issue effectively.
Offset Pipe Wrench
An offset pipe wrench provides access to pipes in tight or awkward spaces. Its offset design offers improved grip and torque at difficult angles, ensuring a secure hold. It also provides increased leverage where a standard pipe wrench can’t fit, making it essential for working with dispenser piping and in sumps.

Don’t forget to take care of yourself. Quality boots are a great tool for providing proper support and alignment, helping to reduce strain on the feet, ankles, knees, and lower back. They also minimize the risk of injury from sharp objects or heavy equipment and offer slip resistance, ensuring safety both on the tank pad and behind the sales counter.
